Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific systematic approach that aims to change a person's behavior and teach socially important behavior. This method relies on empirical data and can teach children or adults new behaviors. SBEC provides ABA services tailored to each child's needs and offers Home-Based Services, School-Based Services, Clinic-Based Services, and Telehealth Services
CBEC wiht professional cilinical team provides ABA services that are determined through comprehensive assessments conducted by qualified
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or Qualified Behavior Analysts (QBAs).
ABA THERAPY PROCESS
Step 1: Confirm a diagnosis of ASD or other developmental delays by medical providers such as a specialist physician, psychiatrist, or clinical psychologist. Then, the specialist recommends ABA services to your health insurance plan or provides a recommendation letter for ABA services in the diagnostic report.
Step 2: Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) will be conducted by a BCBA to identify target behaviors and determine what maintains challenging behaviors.
Step 3: A comprehensive individualized intervention plan will be designed, and objective goals will be identified based on the FBA.
Step 4: The intervention plans will be implemented one-on-one or in a group by qualified and licensed behavioral practitioners such as a BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT. They will collect data and conduct further analysis to determine treatment effectiveness and monitor progress for developing skill acquisition and reducing challenging behaviors.
Step 5: Ongoing evaluation and progress monitoring are crucial parts of ABA therapy to identify and address environmental conditions that may interfere with or prevent behavioral services. It allows a BCBA to make data-based decisions about effectiveness and the need for treatment revision, continuation, or termination of treatment plans. Additionally, parents will be asked to complete assessments every six months to track progress and set new goals.
Step 6: Required hours for ABA services gradually reduce as the child’s abilities grow and meet the goals.
Step 7: ABA services will be terminated when established goal criteria have been met, generalized, and maintained, and the child reaches a functional and socially accepted level.
